The Wine Society 2020 Wine Champions

We are delighted that our Land of Hope Reserve Chenin Blanc 2019 has been selected as one of the 58 champion wines in The Wine Society's Wine Champions. Every wine in this selection, whatever the style or price, is special. Picked out by expert buyers from a huge tasting of its peers, all without sight of the labels, a Wine Champion represents the best of the best to choose with confidence and enjoy now.

A record number of wines (1,102 to be precise) were poured, in a brand-new tasting room with more space and state-of-the-art facilities; and there was a feeling that this was going to be the biggest and best line-up of winners yet.

The tastings finished at the beginning of March, and with everything that unfolded afterwards, it was possible at one point that the winners would never be revealed. The Wine Society has secured stocks of these Champion wines and they invite you to savour this year's cream of the crop.

This is what the expert tasters had to say about the Land of Hope Reserve Chenin Blanc: A superb South African white, made by Radford Dale, who describe this as their ‘most boisterous’ Chenin Blanc. It certainly caught our tasters’ attention, conveying its seductive creamy texture with underlying class. Drink now to 2022. 12%. £12.95 bottle | £155 dozen.
