Alex Dale, the MD of Radford Dale mentioned to us early in 2007 that the company would like to create a Trust for the previously disadvantage individuals (PDI) of the company, which would pay for schooling and education for our children, I was dumb struck! I never imagined that I would never have to worry about funds for my children’s education.
I’ve been working for Radford Dale since 2000 and I have the utmost respect and gratitude towards Alex. He is one of the most thoughtful, caring and driven people I know. I am who I am today, because he believed in me and presented opportunities to show my true potential.
Our eldest started high school this year and is absolutely loving it...! She has grown into a strong, sensitive, loyal and caring young lady and respects her peers. She is always trying new things and Water Polo is one of them this year. In her own words when she hits a challenge: “I can do this, I AM ENOUGH”.
Our son has settled well at his new school and is excelling in sport. He loves IT where they get to play on an iPad. We have high hopes for him and he is like a sponge taking it all in and making the most of it! He wants to participate in everything and NEVER tires out!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the support in financing our children’s education.
We are grateful for the opportunities this provides us as we rely on financial aid to help finance our children’s education. Receiving this funding has helped reduce our financial burdens and provide assistance as we continue to pursue their education.
Our youngest - Oh what a brave happy chappy he is!
Making new friends and the new surroundings are very exciting for him. He is especially very impressed with the sport grounds and wants to play, soccer, rugby, cricket. He loves aftercare where he can play and do homework.
Our eldest is very impressed with his new school due to the fact that they are only six in a class in comparison to the schools he’s used to. The teachers are very helpful and friendly. His words to us: “I would have never thought that I would end up in a school like this”.
So once again thanks to the Land of Hope trust for making this possible

Another successful 2018 year has passed and lots has changed for us as a family. We moved house and the kids had to change schools. Me as a parent had the worries of my kids not adapting to the change but mercifully they did and we had lots of support from the Land of Hope Trust.
My eldest daughter finished grade 4 and did very well. She passed all her subjects between 75%-90%. She also took part at the “Ein Stedford” and did spontaneous reading and got a mark of 87%. This year she is grade 5 and is attending a new High School. Making new friends and adapting to the school was a challenge for her in the beginning but thankfully that is the thing of the past. She started off this year in sports with a bang, and her team for the long distance came first.
My middle daughter finished her grade R at Primary School in 2018. She received all 6 codes for her subjects and I am a super proud mommy. She is also attending the same High School as her sister this year in Grade 1. Making new friends and adapting to the change was not a challenge for her. She loves to meet new people and new surroundings excite her.
My little one was very sad leaving “Kiddies Planet” in 2018. She is attending a new pre-school this year and is doing her grade 0. It was very difficult for her to adapt to the new surroundings and making new friends is also not that easy for her.
I am sure 2019 will have more challenges but The Land of Hope Trust is taking the financial worries off our list. My family and I would like to thank the Trust for making good education available to us.

When I started working for Radford Dale in 2009 and heard about this amazing Trust and what it stands for, I was partly dumbstruck and excited at the same time. Our kids have the opportunity to go to any school of their choice without me having to worry about the financial side of it. Through this Trust our kids can not only dream big but also have the assurance that it is possible.
My eldest granddaughter started Grade 1 this year and is eager to participate in every extra curricular activity the school has to offer. On Monday’s she has gymnastics, Tuesdays art, Wednesdays and Fridays choir and Thursdays ballet and she is loving it. She is especially excelling in ballet.
Her sister is at Playschool. This particular Playschool believes in a holistic educational value system, creating a strong and enduring academic foundation. She loves to copy her sister in everything she does. She is such a happy child.
Words fail me to express my gratitude to the founders of this Trust. Thank you, Land of Hope, for investing in our children’s future.

Education is costly and higher education even more so. But it is an investment and it helps in strengthening and expanding a better life for people. Education develops the intellect; and the intellect distinguishes man from other creatures. Therefore The Land of Hope Trust gives me hope when it comes to education.

My son is 2 years old and attends Play School at Kabouterland. He loves Monkeynastix.
My daughter is in Grade 4 at Eikestad Laerskool. Her favourite subjects are English and Maths.
She really enjoys ballet and dancing
Our daughter is very excited to be in Grade 1 this year attending a new Primary School.
I am very glad that she’s going to learn a third language Isikhosa. She is also taking ballet and singing classes which she enjoys so much.
Thanks again to The Land of Hope Educational Trust for helping and making our dreams come true.

My appreciation to Land of Hope Trust is bigger than I can say. Specifically for my eldest who is in grade 12 at High School and doing really well. The school promoted him to Student President last year because of his strong discipline and good behaviour at school.
Last year The Land of Hope Trust did something incredible for us. Something we cannot forget for the rest of our lives. I couldn’t afford to pay for his soccer trip to America for the Dallas Cup Youth Tournament because it was very expensive. He was able to go thanks to The Land of Hope’s help. I appreciate this so much because he was able to experience so many things in America that he would never have been able to without the support from the Trust. Now he is playing for Cape Town City Reserve Team and has also been picked by Bafana Bafana under 20s which is amazing for him.
My youngest grandchild is 4 years old now and still continuing at day care. She is doing well, learning language and she loves to draw.
Thank you to the Trust for brightening my children’s future with all their support.
